Marvel Releases Official Trailer For 'The Avengers' (Video)

Finally!

Speaking of Samuel L. Jackson, Marvel has released a full length trailer for next summer's blockbuster, 'The Avengers'.  We finally get a glimpse of Hawkeye, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, and (what many of us geeks have been waiting to see) Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk.



'The Avengers' is scheduled to be released May 4th, 2012.

The trailer isn't supposed to debut until the previews are shown before 'Captain America: The First Avenger' premieres on July 22nd.  Fortunately for us, a private screening of C.A. was being shown this evening for members of the armed forces abroad.  Someone in the audience recorded the trailer and uploaded it.

Considering that it was taken with a cell phone, the video quality isn't the best.  It's dark, and a bit grainy.  But, you'll at least have an idea of what to expect next summer.

Update:  Marvel took down the original video I had showing on the site.  This one is of the same clip, at the same showing, but from a different spot in the theater.  The quality isn't as good as what was here originally.  Sorry.

'Captain America: The First Avenger' - Official Trailer

When I was a kid, Captain America was my least favorite super hero.  I thought he was lame.  After all, all he had was a shield.  He didn't have any real super powers.  At least Batman had some pretty cool toys.

Based upon the following trailer, I was off by a long shot.  Captain America kicked Nazi ass.  The special effects in the preview alone are pretty impressive.  From what I've read, the movie's animators used the same creative process to show the before and after "transformation" into America the same way that the stages of Benjamin Button's life was animated.

The movie, starring Chris Evans, Tommy Lee Jones, and Hugo Weaving, opens July 22.  It looks very promising.
