Disney/Pixar Release Full Length Trailer For 'Brave'

The film features Merida, the first female protagonist in a Pixar feature film.  It will certainly be interesting to see how Pixar's take of a Disney princess.  The principal cast, with includes Kevin McKidd, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Craig Ferguson, and Kelly Macdonald as Merida, is comprised primarily by native Scots.



'Brave' debuts in the United States on June 22, 2012.  This one is going to be huge.  Expect to see store shelves stocked with all sorts of assorted Scottish swag next summer.

Video: Roboticist Build Real Life Wall-E

DJ Sures, a roboticist (yes, that's a real word) from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, recently posted a video of his latest project:  a working, real life version of Disney/Pixar's Wall-E.  It's a modification from what was originally a U-Command Wall-E toy.  It features facial and voice recognition and can track a red ball with it's head.  Unfortunately, in it's present form, it must be plugged into a computer at all times to read the necessary software.

I can imagine seeing a full size version of something like this welcoming visitors at Disneyland within the next couple of years.  Most.  Adorable.  Robot.  Ever.

A Video Countdown Of Disney's 50 Animated Feature Films

From 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' in 1937 to 'Tangled' in 2010.  This is a bonus feature on the 'Tangled' DVD and Blu Ray discs.  I saw it for the first time yesterday, and thought I would share.  I was surprised at how many of the films I haven't seen.  Interestingly, the list does not include any of the 11 Pixar films that had been released between 1995 and 2010.
