If you've been following me over the last couple of years, you'd probably guess that I'm not much of a football fan.  Today will determine who is going to the Super Bowl in two weeks.  At the moment, it looks like the 49ers, and either the Ravens or the Patriots.  Personally, I'm rooting for the Ravens.  Only because my in-laws are big Broncos fans, and I'm obligated to cheer for the team that ruined their hopes for a championship.

Anyways....what was I going to write about?

OH...With today being a big football day, I thought I would share this video.  Whether you like football or not, you'll get a kick out of this.  Very funny.

The following video popped up on YouTube a couple of weeks ago.  There is no information as to where or when it was taken, but I'm assuming it was during one of this year's district conventions.  Thanks to Chris Fugue for adding Yakety Sax to the video.  It makes it all the more enjoyable.

"Gopher Tuna"

In 1935, Carl Orff wrote O Fortuna as part of his choral masterpiece Carmina Burana.  It's one of my favorite classical pieces.  I've been lucky enough to see a performance of the piece live.

Until I was in my mid-20s, I had no idea what the name of the tune was.  I simply called it the "BAMP BAMP BAMP BAMP song".  It took another decade before I had any clue as to the lyrics.

It appears as if I'm not the only one.  Someone posted a video of O Fortuna's misheard lyrics.  It's hilarious, partially because they're dead on.

Comedian Louis C.K. was performing a sold out show at Brooklyn's The Bell House last Friday night.  Tickets were only $10 apiece.  Can you believe that?

"Don" had a pair of tickets to the show, but was unable to go (you'll see why), and decided to sell the tickets online at face value.  He did have an unusual request for those interested in purchasing the tickets, however.

YouTube user dondrapersayswhat has a history of piecing scenes from movies and television shows together, and producing hilarious montages.  His latest clip is a "supercut" from 67 films that lists the state capitals of all 50 states in the U.S., in alphabetical order, by state.  It's quite clever.
