A Change Of Pace

I was telling the wifey earlier tonight that I have ZERO desire to continue my political activism anymore.  The fire is gone.  I think that for the last few years, I've been channeling my anger and depression into something else, instead of incessantly complaining.  Politics and religion were easy targets.

Now...I'm happy for the first time in my life.  This feeling may be short lived, but I don't have the ability to criticize or be snarky like I used to.  Hell, for the last two days, I've posted a "Feel Good Video of the Day" on my site.  That's not like me. 'The Twitch' has been nothing but doom and gloom since it started nearly three years ago.

I'm tired of being the asshole that constantly rains on everyone else's parade.  It's not something that I would like to be known for.

That being said, some changes are coming to the site.  As you may have already noticed, the header at the top of the page has already been changed.  "You met me at a very strange time in my life" is quite fitting.  Those of you that have been following me for a while haven't had a chance to get to know the real me.  I thought I had forgotten who that person was, myself.  I used to tell people that I wasn't really a pessimist.  I was a "realist".  Let's face it.  I was an asshole.  Plain and simple.  But, could you blame me?

This is like writing for the first time, all over again.  I don't know where to start or how to do this.  I just know that I want to create something that my wife enjoys reading.  She stopped reading my site long ago, because my posts did nothing but depress her.

While I still may write the occasional post about politics, religion, or some bigot out there in the world, I'm not going to harp on it.  The update will be written because "this needs to be seen", instead of "take a look at this asshole".

Bear with me.  This is going to be a learning experience for all of us.

I appreciate your political posts, but mostly because I like having you keep me up to date rather than searching the internets or watching the news. I'm excited to see what the new and improved Twitch has to offer though!
