Tea Party Leader Arrested For Kidnapping, Rape
What is it with San Diego this week?
Police have arrested Michael Kobulnicky in the February 25th kidnapping and sexual assault of a 56-year-old woman. The victim was walking home, and was offered a ride by Kobulnicky. He then pulled her into the car and assaulted her, later leaving her on the side of the road on Fiesta Island.
What makes this case particularly notable, is that, up until his arrest, Michael Kobulnicky was the public relations spokesman for the San Diego Tea Party. On March 2nd, authorities released a frame from a convenience store's surveillance tape, along with a description of Kobulnicky's vehicle. They asked for the public's help in identifying their suspect.
A statement from the San Diego Tea Party, says that Kabulnicky has been on a hiatus since January, "for personal reasons", and during legal proceedings, has been removed from his duties. However, according to all online references from Kabulnicky himself, it appears that he was currently in his position as public relations spokesman.
You can cut the hypocrisy with a knife.

Kabulnicky was arrested last Thursday.
On his personal Facebook page, Kabulnicky acted as if nothing had happened. On March 12, he posted numerous photos of his vacation in Arizona. He also announced his engagement to his fiance. (On a side note, the number of his Facebook friends is dropping like flies.)
On March 14th, he called for a nationwide boycott of Red Bull, following the brief airing of a commercial in South Africa. He said, "There is such an attack against Christianity now and hopefully Christians stand up for what they believe!". He proudly identifies himself as Christian, and brags about his "Christian values". Kabulnicky is also a former elementary school teacher, and founder of the National Council of Americans, a youth organization whose mission is "to preserve American values (like rape) and our way of life through various methods of education by using the Constitution of the United States, Bill of Rights/Amendments, Declaration of Independence, and words of our Founding Fathers as a guide to protect American freedoms for children, teenagers, and adults of all nationalities and to unify The United States of America."
He has been organizing a San Diego summit, called the Patriot Voices Summit 2012, which was scheduled to take place in July. Something tells me that a cancellation of the summit may be announced in the near future.

Glenn Beck: Wall Street Protesters 'Will Drag You Into The Streets And Kill Everybody'
Glenn Beck has a history of saying some pretty ridiculous things on his programs. However, what he said yesterday on his radio program really takes the cake.
In the opening minutes of the broadcast, he made his disgust for the demonstrators crystal clear. He started his show by mocking the "human microphone" method of communication used at the General Assembly at the protests. As he started speaking, his in studio cohorts screamed his words into their microphones. His producer then yelled, "We demand shorter sentences".

Tea Baggers Criticize The Occupy Demonstrations
How ridiculous. If you Google "Down With Evil Corporations", you'll see hundreds of Tea Party sites over the last week, which have posted this photo, criticizing the Occupy Wall Street protests.
Corporations are a necessity in a Free Enterprise marketplace. They offer legal protections for the owners of a business that aren't available to a sole proprietorship. Also, a business must be incorporated to offer stock options to interested parties. They are a necessary evil.
The Occupy Wall Street protesters are not against corporations per se. They are against exorbitant corporate greed. When Bank of America institutes a $5.00 monthly fee to use your debit card, there is a problem.
When Wall Street rewrites qualifications for home loans, then plays the stock market to where they are essentially betting against your ability to make your mortgage payment, there's a problem.
When a company would rather lay off thousands of employees, than lose 3% profit for the year, there is a problem.
When teachers salaries have dropped 20% since 2008, but CEOs get wealthier, there is a problem.
There are ethical, moral corporations in the world. There are many that are immoral. Sadly, we cannot boycott them all. We must clothe ourselves, eat, communicate and use transportation on a daily basis.
To suggest that since the Occupy demonstrators are rallying against corporate greed, that they should rid themselves of any corporate attachments is ludicrous at best. A large part of the Republican right already thinks of those involved in the movement as "dirty hippies". With this recent photo floating around Facebook, we're now made to look like corporate savvy hipsters. Well? Which is it? What do they want from us?
Do they expect us to camp out in the streets naked, unshowered and without makeup? Do they want us to communicate with tin cans and string? Are we really supposed to buy this rhetoric?

Jon Stewart Asks 'Why Aren't Occupy Wall Street Protesters Getting Tea Party Respect?' (Video)
On last night's 'Daily Show', Jon Stewart pointed out that many of the protesters in Liberty Park are saying things that are very similar to what Tea Party supporters were saying themselves.....back in 2009. But, if you ask a Tea Partier today what their opinion is of the masses gathered, demonstrating against corporate greed in New York City, they make it sound like it's a bunch of uneducated Nazi zombies.

Herman Cain Leading GOP Polls, Sarah Palin Has No Idea Who He Is
Surprising news for the Cain campaign this week. First, Herman Cain walked away with a win at the Florida straw poll on Sunday. Taking nearly 40% of the vote, he won by a double digit margin over Rick Perry and Mitt Romney - the front runners of the Republican presidential race. In modern political history, the winner of the Florida straw poll went on to become the Republican candidate chosen the following year at their national convention.
Then, on Monday, Zogby released a national poll amongst primary voters. Again, Herman Cain was on top.
Another double digit lead ahead of Perry and Romney. Some say that people are intrigued by Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan. Coincidentally, the "9-9-9" is also the name of a specialty pizza available at Godfather's (joking). Others say that the bickering between Perry and Romney have cost them their leads.
Does anyone take Herman Cain's chances seriously? Take a look at this. While complimenting him a couple of nights ago on Fox News, Sarah Palin called him the wrong name not once. Not twice. But five times.
Excuse me, Sarah. It's HER-MAN CAIN. Say it with me. Her. Man. Caaaaaaaaaaain.
I realize this may just be an underhanded way of Palin trying to divert attention away from potential competition. Later in the same interview, she was speaking as to whether she has made up her mind about running for President or not. She actually had the balls to say that she believes she has more power now than what she would as President of the United States.
I also realize that Sarah Palin is an absolute moron. This is the same woman that tried to re-write the story of Paul Revere. If she doesn't have a teleprompter in front of her, there's no telling what she'll say.
Maybe she's so self absorbed, she honestly believes the GOP front runner is named Herb Cain. Maybe she doesn't watch the news. It makes sense to me. George W. Bush was famous for saying that he didn't read the newspaper. It would only be logical, 10 years later, to have a presidential candidate that didn't read the news at all.

Today In "Are You Fucking Kidding Me?"
At last night's Republican Presidential debate, a question was asked by Stephen Hill, a gay soldier serving in Iraq. At the time his question was submitted via YouTube, he would have had to have asked it anonymously. However, since the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell went into effect on Tuesday, Hill is now able to serve openly.
He asked, "Under one of your presidencies, do you plan to circumvent the progress that has been made for gay and lesbian soldiers in the military?"
Listen to the reaction from some members of the crowd:
Of course the question went to Rick Santorum, who by far spews the most anti-gay rhetoric of all of the GOP candidates. He said that "any type of sexual activity has no place in the military", which is true, but has absolutely nothing to do with allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly. This is the man that said that gay marriage would lead to "man on dog" relationships. In his mind, the repeal of DADT is an anal rape free-for-all in the barrack's showers.
What's worse? Not one of the candidates spoke up to defend the soldier. I don't care if you disagree with someone's lifestyle. I don't care if you disagree with the policies of this administration. I don't care if you disagree with the concept of war or the reasons why we are currently in the Middle East. YOU DO NOT BOO A SOLDIER. PERIOD. Those men and women are risking their lives every day, doing a job that most Americans are unwilling to do. What a vile thing to do.
Well, at least this time the crowd wasn't shouting to let the uninsured die:

Christine O'Donnell Walks Out Of CNN Interview
Earlier this evening, former Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell walked out of an interview on CNN with Piers Morgan. Morgan was asking her what her stance was on gay marriage and Don't Ask Don't Tell; two topics that are covered in her new book, 'Troublemaker'. She refused to answer the question.
Since she's not running for office, I guess she doesn't have "I am running for President of the United States" as an answer, like Bachmann.

Republicans Want To Bring Back Slavery
They don't, but if you saw this headline in tomorrow's newspaper, would it really surprise you?
**OK, I'm going to be honest. I am so angry right now, I don't even know where to start. I'm going to be very critical of a certain group of people here, but I'm being 100% honest with the way that I feel. If you're offended, I'm sorry, but you don't have to continue reading my blog if you don't like it.**
Republicans are pissing me the fuck off. Who else can they fuck with....really?? They have it their mission in the last year to do anything they can to take as many rights, privileges, and benefits away from gay Americans.
Republican Senators and Congressmen are vowing to push through a bill in this session repealing the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell (follow me). States that have approved gay marriage, such as Iowa and New Hampshire, are fighting tooth and nail not to have it repealed by GOP state legislatures. California is fighting in the courts to get gay marriage back after it was approved and then repealed by Republican voters. Wyoming passed a bill today refusing to recognize gay marriages performed in OTHER STATES!! And other states are merely cutting domestic partner benefits arbitrarily for the sake of "budget cuts", while not making any cuts to the benefits of married partners.
As February approached, rumors started to circulate as to how drastic Republicans would want to cut the budget on things like the arts, women's services, and health care. It was much worse than anyone could have imagined.
The GOP has declared an all out war against Planned Parenthood. Today, the House voted to strip the entire $327 million in annual Title X federal funding that it receives. By law, none of the federal money they receive can go to fund abortions. They have a private donor fund for that already. Congressmen know that. It's been that way since the mid-90s. The $327 million they receive go to education, birth control, STD testing, HIV tests, cancer screenings, and gynecological exams, amongst other things. I have used Planned Parenthood on numerous occasions for free STD and HIV testing about 10 years ago when I lived in Denver. They were an excellent resource for contraceptives when I didn't even have enough money in my pocket to buy a pack of condoms. They were always kind, accommodating, and never judged me. My wife used their services when she was younger, was uninsured, and needed Depo shots. She received them at no charge from Planned Parenthood. They are an excellent resource for both men and women. Abortions account for only 3% of the total procedures done at their clinics. The things they do save more lives than the babies that die in their locations. If they lose almost a third of a billion dollars in funding, over 800 locations nationwide risk being closed. That means the possibility or more unwanted or unplanned babies, the spread of various STDs or HIV unknowingly being spread in those communities, and lower income women not being able to get gynecological care at little or no cost in their neighborhood.
Oh, and to make things worse, Republicans in the state of South Dakota, (which I'm going to just refer to as Dumbfuckistan from now on) introduced a bill making the defending of a fetus "justifiable homicide". This opens the doors to being able to legally kill abortion providers. House Bill 1171 states that murder is legal if defending your unborn child, or the unborn child or your spouse, partner, parent, or child. So, even if the mother is going into the clinic with the intent of having the abortion, that woman's husband, boyfriend, son, daughter, father, or mother could, in theory, kill the abortion provider justifiably. And, get this, the Dumbfuckistan state House has also introduced a bill requiring mandatory gun ownership for everyone 21 years of age and older. It's not expected to pass, obviously, but could you get any dumber.
OK.....next point. Today the fuckers voted to repeal Obama's health care reform. They claimed it was because the budget, but we all know they hated the thing back when Hillary Clinton tried to get everyone on board with it back in the 90s. They call it "Socialist" and "Marxist", but I call it "necessary". Even with insurance, I can't even afford my medical bills. They're over $500 a month sometimes, minimum. My parents filed bankruptcy twice because of hospital bills. One stay in the hospital can literally break a family for years. It's how the poor stay poor. Just when they start to get on their feet again, there's another emergency, and they're back on their knees. You're required to have insurance on your car. You're required to have insurance on your house. Heck, I have to have insurance on the things I have in my storage unit. Isn't my health more important than a few totes full of hoodies and office supplies in my storage unit? I think so. Not only did House Republicans vote to repeal health care reform, but they also voted to refuse to pay any federal employees that were working on the health care reform project. So, thousands of people...out of work.
Congress also voted to strip roughly 25%, or $20.6 million, from the National Endowment for the Arts. It's the biggest cut the NEA has received in 16 years. Don't forget, there's also talk that they want to remove funding for NPR and the Corporation for Public Brodcasting (PBS). Hopefully, your kids are old enough to already have enjoyed Sesame Street. Mine isn't.
At the same time, Republicans voted to keep in funding for abstinence only programs. These are programs that have been proven not to work. They paint false realities and unrealistic futures. When students have sex, and they eventually do, they are unprepared and know nothing regarding STDs, HIV, or safe sex. This is an example, although a little strange, of the content of some of the abstinence only curriculum being taught today. This is your tax dollars at work:
Congressmen also reversed $1.5 billion in funding cuts that Obama made to combat efforts in Iraq. Evidentially, the GOP thinks we're still in combat operations there. Let's not forget that Tea Party Republicans are fighting to eliminate the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency. Not make budget cuts, but eliminate the entire department from the government.
After all of this bullshit, what have Democrats done? We've made phone calls. We have organized online. We have rallied using social networks like Facebook and Twitter. We have blogged our frustrations. We have called our Senators, asking them to vote against the budget cuts that the Congressmen have just made. We have been civil.
Then we have the incident yesterday at Rep. Betty McCollum's (D-Minn.) office. Last week, she submitted an amendment to the budget to cut $7 million from the Pentagon budget by discontinuing the Army's sponsorship of the #39 car in NASCAR. A couple of days later, she received the following fax in her office:
**OK, I'm going to be honest. I am so angry right now, I don't even know where to start. I'm going to be very critical of a certain group of people here, but I'm being 100% honest with the way that I feel. This isn't something that would cripple NASCAR mind you. If that car lost the Army sponsor, he would pick up a new one. Instead of being the "Army" car, he would be the "Oreo" car, or the "Applebee's" car. It wouldn't make a damn bit of difference. Fucking rednecks. I swear, it's like "Fuck women. Fuck the gays. Fuck the Mexicans and the Blacks. I don't want my tax dollars goin' to that gay art stuff, but you better not touch my fuckin' NASCAR. What are you? A communist?"
What is wrong with this fucking country? Who's next? Who haven't we fucked over as a nation? Hispanics, check. LGBT community, check. Women, check. The poor, check. Minorities, check. Children, check. The Environment, check. Who's left....oh.
Rich, old, white, straight, married males. Wow. Sounds a lot like....Republican members of Congress. Coincidence?

Congressional Teabaggers Proposing Elimination Of Federal Arts Funding
A group of Tea Party backed conservatives, called the Republican Study Committee, revealed a plan Thursday to cut the Federal funding for the arts down to zero. The group, led by Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, introduced the Spending Reduction Act of 2011. In it, the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities would be entirely cut off, "saving" approximately $167.5 million a year. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting would likely also be axed, "saving an additional $445 million annually. The proposal would be expected to reduce federal spending by $2.5 trillion dollars over the next decade.
Currently, the Federal investment helps employ 5.7 people nationwide.

Flagstaff Woman Sues Recorder Office Over Tea Party Shirt
Diane Wickberg, a 55 year old grandmother and Tea Party member, is suing the Coconino County Recorder over a t-shirt she tried to wear into a polling place. The t-shirt, which says "Flagstaff Tea Party: We The People Reclaiming our Constitution", was worn into a polling location on May 18, the day of a state wide sales tax vote.
State voting laws state: "no political or electioneering materials are to be displayed" within 75 feet of a polling location. When Wickberg entered the facility to place her vote, she was quickly told that she would either have to change her shirt or cover it up to enter. Although there is no definition for electioneering in Arizona state statues, County Recorder Candace Owens insists the shirt was not appropriate. Via AZCentral.com:
As the Tea Party is not a legally recognized political party, the lawsuit may present a challenge to the judicial system and will likely become a precedent referred to in future cases. Expect an update as the story develops.

Her lawsuit is asking a judge to deliver an injunction, allowing her to wear the shirt again on November 2, during the general election."Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis," she said. "It's a fine line.""My determination was that they are political in nature," she said. "They've been organized for that very purpose, and there were a number of candidates that were endorsed by the tea party or said they were."

This Is Your GOP Nomination For Senator In Delaware....
....Tea Party nutjob and abstinence activist, Christine O'Donnell. O'Donnell won her primary tonight after easily defeating the candidate the GOP really wanted for the job. This is a clip of Christine on MTV, back in '96, peddling her bullshit agenda:
Luckily, the Republican party has decided not to contribute toward her campaign, as she is, at last count 27 points behind her Democratic rival in the polls. With a Democratic win in Delaware this November, it will be all but impossible for the GOP to attain a 60 seat majority in the Senate.

When Stupid People Get Involved In Politics
I'm starting to think the only reason they called themselves the Tea Party is because they had a hard time spelling anything with more than three letters in it.
